Telisma announces the availability of automatic speech recognition in Thai and Malay

 

Telisma announces the availability of two new languages: Thai and Malay are now available with teliSpeech Recognizer 2.0, telisma’s leading network speech recognition engine. Along with the existing teliSpeech languages, they can be used on all leading IVR platforms including: Avaya, Cisco, Envox, Genesys, HP, Holly, OnMobile, Voxeo... and more!

 

Thailand and Malaysia have a booming number of mobile phone subscribers. Telisma is the first to offer them the option to use their voice to access services, information, knowledge and entertainment.

Malay is spoken by around 250 million people in Malaysia but also in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, as well as in Southern Thailand, Southern Philippines and East Timor.

Thai is spoken by approximately 65 million people in Thailand, but also in certain regions of Cambodia, Malaysian Myanmar and Laos.

These new language packs are the result of the collaboration between telisma and its Malaysian partner, Nusuara, a pioneer in the sector of technologies and applications based on speech recognition in South East Asia.
