Milton Keynes, UK and Paris, France, Feb 10th, 2006 – Aculab, a leading provider of enabling technology for the communications market and telisma, a major speaker independent speech recognition software technology provider, have today announced that teliSpeech is now available for use with Aculab’s full Prosody range.
Aculab has developed its own MRCP client library, which provides developers with a standards-based method of controlling access to speech servers, including telisma’s MRCP version of teliSpeech. This new software release, available under a cost-free license from Aculab, facilitates the development of speech enabled applications using a combination of telispeech and Prosody.
Having successfully tested teliSpeech and its MRCP integration with their MRCP client library, Aculab is pleased to acknowledge the addition of an alternative speech recognition technology to the list of options available to its customers.
Speaking about telisma’s technology, James Daybell, Product Manager at Aculab commented:
"Adding teliSpeech to our growing speech portfolio allows us to offer our customers an alternative high performance ASR solution. telisma’s long term involvement in the MRCP standard has enabled the seamless integration between our Prosody product range and teliSpeech."
Jean-Jacques Devaux, Marketing Director at telisma further explains: "The Prosody/teliSpeech combination responds to clients’ demands for a reliable speech-enabled platform in both the enterprise and the phone operator’s sectors.
MRCP is an alternative to voice services network architecture and provides a cost-effective standards-based alternative for any telephony platform provider."
In order to cement their business relationship, telisma has joined the “Connected with Aculab” partner programme and will work on co-marketing and co-selling initiatives with Aculab in the near future.
Telisma will also be joining the other “Connected with Aculab” partners at the Aculab communications exchange 2006 (ACE) conference, which is taking place on April 4th-6th, in Budapest. Attendees will be able to see Eric Le Flour, telisma's Co-founder and VP Strategy & Business Development, as a guest speaker in the ’Let’s talk about Speech’ session on Thursday 6th.
