StreamWide embeds telisma speech recognition

... and speech becomes ever more pervasive in IP environment.

A major software and hardware VOIP developer, StreamWide focuses on services and software toolkit for the broadband ISPs and carriers. Its product line is based on a patented technology, Audiostream intended for fast and easy delivery of IVR. It is used by telecom operators, hosters and ISP worldwide to deliver services such as voice portals, voicemail, information services and conferencing.

StreamWide and telisma recently signed a VAR agreement. As a result, StreamWide now integrates teliSpeech into its pre-packaged unified multimedia messaging solution so that its customers benefit from ready-to-deploy performing and low cost voice enabled solutions.

Streamwide has chosen teliSpeech after testing it against competitors’ solutions, especially in terms of recognition rates for voice command voice mail environment. As well as the speech recognition accuracy, Streamwide particularly appreciates the carrier flexibility of the installation process and the grade qualities and capacities of the architecture,. The MRCP version of teliSpeech allowed for very fast and smooth integration on StreamWide’s Audiostream Engine; the joint solution at once successfully passed operability tests with StreamWide’s main partners.

StreamWide’s IP unified messaging solution, Audiostream Messaging is already available with teliSpeech voice command functionalities as a pre-integrated, ready to use option.

Mr. Gaichies further explains:

"Voice command on our messaging product allows for totally hands free browsing of voice or video-mail. Voicemail and video-mail services used to be tied to series of DTMF commands requiring the change of handset position which is not very ergonomic, or even dangerous, especially on mobile or car phones. Voice command really enhances user experience. Introducing these features based on teliSpeech recognition engine, has been very easy and straightforward on our IP based core infrastructure using MRCP based  capacities of the product. These features are proposed as an option to all our existing customers, they can be deployed on specific service profiles within the system and even used ASR servers shared with other applications."

According to Jean-Jacques Devaux, VP Marketing, telisma:

"Needless to say that we are proud of our product’s superior performances and we feel enthusiastic about StreamWide’s commercial strategy. Their vision of speech as a commodity that should be be as widely accessible as possible to clients – and not only to the happy few that have ASR expertise -  will undoubtedly help the democratisation of speech command!"
