Telisma & NuSuara co-develop for speech recognition solutions in South East Asia

  

Paris, FRANCE – June 3rd 2008: NuSuara & telisma collaborate to co-develop languages that can be used with the teliSpeechRecognizer for the South East Asian markets. Today, they are pleased to announce the availability of Thaï and Malay languages, the first of many to come…
 
Telisma, an International leader in the field of speech processing solutions for mass market applications, is the preferred partner of large Enterprises. Its Malaysian partner, NuSuara, is a pioneer in the sector of technologies and applications based on speech recognition in South East Asia specialising in the SME and telecom markets. Together they have shared their tools and ‘savoir-faire’ for the benefit of the speech community.
 
Telisma and NuSuara have proven telisma’s unique collaborative approach to the design and development of industrial speech processing solutions, based on the open Eclipse™ development environment. Both the Thaï and Malay languages have been developed by Nusuara using the teliSpeech Language Development Kit (LDK) and are now available using the teliSpeech Recognizer, telisma’s Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) software.

Conscious of our unrivalled joint expertise in the development of speech technologies and solutions in South East Asia this alliance will help accelerate the availability of ASR in more Asian countries.” stated Eric Le Flour, co-Founder and VP, Strategy and Business Development, telisma. 
 
NuSuara CEO, Dato’ Ramli Abbas explained that this latest joint venture is aligned with the Company’s strategy to work closely with leading technology providers to conceptualise and develop innovative technologies and tools to enable effective human centric computer interactions.
     
“We are confident the open collaboration with telisma on the technical and commercial levels, combined with our expertise, enables us to offer leading edge speech processing solutions that best meets the needs of Asian enterprises and supports their growth. The jointly developed product will also further reinforce NuSuara as a leading provider of speech technologies in the region,” said Dato’ Ramli.
